1、 Instrument Overview
Mainly used for measuring the impact toughness of non-metallic materials such as hard plastics, reinforced nylon, fiberglass, ceramics, cast stones, and electrical insulation materials. Ideal testing equipment for chemical industry, scientific research institutions, colleges and universities, quality inspection departments, professional manufacturer laboratories, and other units.
2、 Instrument characteristics
This product uses a color touch screen display, with simple and clear operation, single board computer control, stable and reliable, and has an automatic energy loss correction function. The experimental results are automatically calculated and can be printed through a micro printer. The host can connect to a PC to export, edit, and print, and can also connect to a notch depth measuring instrument. Through the notch depth measuring instrument, the external dimensions of the sample can be accurately transmitted to the host for data storage, improving the accuracy of experimental results.

4、 Working principle
Use a pendulum with known energy to impact and support a specimen into a vertical cantilever beam. Measure the energy absorbed by the specimen during failure. The distance from the impact line to the specimen fixture is a fixed distance. For a notched specimen, the distance from the impact line to the centerline of the notch is a fixed distance. The testing machine should be of the pendulum type and composed of main components such as the pendulum, specimen support, energy indicator mechanism, and body, which can indicate the impact energy absorbed during the specimen failure process.
5、 Terminology
Impact strength of the cantilever beam of the non notched specimen: The ratio of the absorbed impact energy during the cantilever impact and failure process of the non notched specimen to the original cross-sectional area of the specimen, expressed in KJ/㎡.
Notched specimen cantilever beam impact strength: The ratio of the impact energy absorbed by the notched specimen during the cantilever beam impact failure process to the original cross-sectional area of the specimen at the notch, expressed in KJ/㎡.
