The dichloromethane impregnation test is an important testing item for PVC-U pipes, used to characterize the degree of plasticization and uniformity of the pipes. The degree of plasticization of the pipes will directly affect their long-term static hydraulic performance and have a direct impact on their service life. 8、 Sample
Cut a pipe section at least 160mm long from the pipe, carefully turn the sample section with a right angle turning tool while minimizing material heating, and then gently polish with 800 grit sandpaper to make the section smooth and flat.
9、 Test steps
Pour dichloromethane into a container to a depth of at least 30mm to submerge the sample Slowly add distilled water to the container to form a 20mm thick water seal on dichloromethane.
Place the container in the thermostatic water tank, adjust the water bath temperature, when the temperature of dichloromethane reaches 20 ± 5 ℃, put the sample on the grid and immerse it in the container, or suspend the sample in dichloromethane, the immersion depth of the sample shall not be less than 30mm, and the polished surface of the sample shall be immersed in the solution. Soak the sample at a constant temperature for 20 minutes, remove it from the container, dry it for 15 minutes, visually inspect the inner and outer surfaces and cross-sections of the sample, measure the length of damage on the inner and outer surfaces and cross-sections with a tape measure and vernier caliper, and record all changes.
